Parts matrix

I am looking for PW/DL and electric mirrors for my 96 XE KC.

Is there some kind of matrix that will tell me what other Nissan models and years would be interchangeable with mine so I can go junkyarding with many options instead of being limited?

Is this something a junkyard has the ability to do for me?

Yes there are books for the compatibily of parts but no you can't just go out and buy it. The books are several thousand dollars for all the makes and models needed to keep the junkyard man up to date on what can go in what. The books are made for med to high volume junk yards (some high volume yards have a computer database with the compatibility info plus where on the lot parts are located and how much they usually sell them for). You can probably find one local but I doubt they'll be willing to let you browse through it like your shopping. I suggest make of list of what you want and they can help you get it and ensure that it fits/works in your particular case. Some junk yard owners have most of this stuff memorized and really don't want to buy a set of books for something they already know a lot about.
