does this also work for '96 hardbody's...?
I tried it several times and i'm not sure if i'm doing it right or fast enough.
After the first try, the light blinked 7 times and then stayed off an extra second, then stayed on for about 2 seconds, then repeats. Then when i tried it again it just blinks steadily. Any suggestions besides keep trying?

I just reset my 98 frontier, no problem. The procedure is documented in the shop manual. Try it a few more times, otherwise you may have a problem with the air bag system.
