Noob here, but wanted a quicky on wheel/tire issue

I just bought these to go on my black 1998 Infiniti QX4
and was wondering the best looking tires to go on them. They
are the 17x8" from I suppose the 2003 Pathfinder. They
have a different finish on them from what I'm used to
seeing and thinkin theyll look perfect on the Q. Is 265/60/17
going to give it a sweet look? Or can I go wider? The wider the better for me. I'm looking for that look similar to the
BMW X5's(minus the 19's). That Yoko pic is a 265/60/17.

That was by far the gayest reply I've ever seen. Thanks.

It depends, are you trying to make it look like a gangsta truck, or do you want it to look like a truck? Being an Infiniti, I am guessing you are going more towards gangsta. What is the width of those wheels? I am guessing 10.5 I think 265 would be the widest you could go then.

No, I'm not going for gansta.....simple is more like it. It's 17x8 and I'm thinkin 265 is the widest I can go on that size. FYI, 10.5 wheels support up to ~295's. I'm just more or less concerned with the appearance (sidewall look)

Lightbulb Get Toyo proxes /st

Hello there,
I have these wheels , they are from an 03 LE 17x8.0 + 20mm offset.
now check your original wheel offset, if it is more the 20. you will be ok going to a bigger tire "wider" if it less they will rub. i found a calculator online but the book mark is on my pc at home.
as a rule , reduction in offset by 11 mm will push the rim 5 mm away from the strut.
i have a + 9mm offset momo wheels 20" on a 255x45x20 the ride is perfect.
my tires went outboard by 17 mm and the rim away from the strut by 5mm and the truck lowered by 6.4 mm.
do your homework about the offset otherwise you will destroy how the car handle.
Good Luck.

Quit wasting the resources of this board with immaturity and profanity. If you have a beef with someone, take care of business OFF the board and OUT of the public eye.
