Hayhay everyone. I gots me an 04 Frontier in January. XE, creb cab with power options. I ordered fogs from http://www.everythingnissan.com . I would like to wire them in so that they turn on with the vehicle.
Iv done lots of searching and found a few how-too's on how to take the fogs and make them run with the parking laps, or both high and low beams. But non for all time running.
Doing the work its-self is not a problem for me. I just dont know if/where there is a circuit that turns on the with the ingnition of the vehicle that will support the fog lamps. If anyone can lead me in the right direction or get me started I would greatly appreciate it.
If this has been covered, and I failed to find the how to, or missed the post on it. Feel free to flame, I would expet it in that circumstance.
Use a relay, wire it directly to the battery and use a separate switch inside your cab for turning them on. Standard practice, easy and practical. I'm surprised you didn't find any more info on the subject. Have tried searching using Google or any other search engine?

Google I did not use. I was hoping for a more direct answer to posibly having them all time runing. So i figure Ill stick to were the experts may be. That cool though. Thanks for the info. THey should be hear any day now. But it looks like the relay is the way to go since no one else has suggest on how to do it.
{Edit} I googled it, and there was a suggestion to wire them to the ignition wire in the cab. Could hooking the fogs to the ingnition wire rob power for the anything it shouldnt why the vehicle is in motion?( Could that effect the spark or anything like that?)
Like iv said, doing the work is not the problem, I just dont know how everything works. Yet.
I know that Volks wagon daytime running lights are wired to the E-brake.....whenever its released the daytime lights comes on......you can apply this to your sentra.

Phyro.
Hmmm...this is a toughie, I just recently installed fog lamps for my friends car. I did the same thing. his car light turn on when the car turns on. I will see if I can find out for you where to connect it. How many watts are the fog lamps?

Im gonna put in a pair of PIAA Xtreme's There 12v- 55w a pice. And they put out something like 4150K of light. I use to have the same kind of bulb in the HALO's I had on my 99 SE-L sentra. Bright. Witch is what I want.
ANY ignition-on 12V+ power source can be used to turn on a relay, which would then be used to feed power directly to the lights from the battery. You need to figure out how to search a little bit better or something, man. This is elementary stuff, not theoretical physics or advanced chemistry.

Thanks for the info 88path. I went searching for the relay, and no were I went even understood what I was talking about. (Napa, Autozone, etc.) I was digging under the hood, and saw a loose connector. And I know there is a few in there for not-installed options. I felt like flipping through the book anyways. But It ends up that the connector I found it a spare 12v 240w (20a) circuit. It turns on with the ignition. I just unded up wire in to that. I found this information on page 2-25 right hand side of the book. And the connector was on the driver side half way up the quarter pannel. Right next to a goldish looking galvinized bracket. I love the fact that they run all the time now. I alway made it a habit to turn my lights on, just becasue, and now I dont have to anymore
