Yes the MIL codes would show up as 0705 and 0309 which translate to P-codes. The 0705 = P0440 EVAP (small leak). Are you sure the 0309 isn't 0903, those two codes are pretty common for the EVAP canister vent control valve. I don't see 0309 in my 97 list.

They reversed it on the 98's I guess. Anyway I changed that Vent cylinder valve and the problems gone. 37 buck here on Long Island, NY
