After my '98 Frontier, with the 2.4 engine, is rained on, it runs rough for about 5 miles. It sounds like it is running on 2 or 3 cylinders, then it's fine. If i'm driving in the rain, it's ok. Only when the truck is parked, and it rains out, is when this occurs. The car runs rough from the second i start it, so it can't be from water splasing on the distributer.

I've been ranting alot about plugs and wires...check the distributor, and plug wires for condensation or moisture spraying up under the truck. some of the distributor caps were not sealed good from the factory and moisture can get in. there are numerous other things that can cause the rough running....see the previous thread on 97 pickup cutting out (canister,egr,fuel filter, vaccum hoses etc...) Does the check engine light ever come on when this problem occurs...

There is a known issue with the inside of the distributor cap getting moist in wet weather. Nissan has a new style cap which is documented in a Service bulliten, You can get it at the dealer.

The check engine light does come on, then goes out the next time i drive. I will try a new cap, rotor, and wires... whether it fixes the problem or not, i'm sure they could use replacing anyways.
