2002 Pathfinder SE Questions

I am currently shopping around for a Pathfinder and have found a great deal on a 2002 SE with very low miles. It would be my first Nissan so does anyone have any praise or horror stories?

I checked out the car today and it looked and ran great, here is the classified description:

ABS, AM/FM Radio, Air Conditioning, Alarm, CD Player, Cruise Control, Leather Interior, Power Lock, Power Windows All black interior/exterior. Extra clean, leather, 6-disc cd changer, temp. control, loaded, luxury floor mats; buying new home, must sell!

Trim:SE Year:2002 Miles:19,700 Price: $17,900

The only thing it's missing is a moonroof in my book. Is that possible to install? If so about how much $$ would that run?

Thanks and I hope it will soon be mine.

sounds like a good deal... moonroof will run between 700 and 1200 installed in the truck...

What are luxury floor mats?

Kelley Blue Book puts all 2002 Pathfinders between $17,600 - $19,150. Sounds like a decent price. I would check against other similiar ones in the papaer, CarMax, etx to see if they are close. If you find some cheaper ones, that can give you a bargaining point.

Jeff- My reasoning for thinking it's such a great deal is because of the low mileage. I haven't found one in this price range in close proximity to me with such low mileage. Waiting to hear what the bank thinks and then I will make my move.

Thanks for the tip on the moonroof, is this something you would recommend doing through a Nissan Dealership or finding a local shop?

what area are you from? the best type of sunroof to get would be a in-built (one that slides into the roof) as opposed to a spoiler style (the kind that slide on top of the roof and stick up) The only brand to get installed in my opinion is an ASC brand... they usually run 1100 to 1200 installed and offer many more features than a factory one. The ASC's are the best quality and look very close to a stock sunroof. I'd ask a couple of local dealerships who they use and give them a call. We have an awesome place here in texas Called Texas Auto Tops and they did a stellar job putting in an ASC in-built in the Saturn L-Series I used to have. I was very pleased and every one always commented on the terrific job they did. just do your research!

Later,
