Question 99.5 pathfinder Air Temp Sensor location

I'm getting the trouble code for the IAT sensor - can someone tell me where it is?

Any other possible cause for this trouble code?

Thanks,

Location of Intake Air Temperature Sensor

The IAT senosr is mounted to the air duct housing in the front bumper, driver side. Also check the connection at the IAT, the wiring harness between the ECM and IAT and the wiring harness between the Transmission Control Module and IAT for possible open or short.

There is a test that you can do on the IAT. Place IAT in hot [but not boiling] water, note temperature and check its resistance. Plot the value on a X-Y chart along with this reference data:

IAT Temp, C [F] deg...............Resistance, kOhm
20 [68].................................2.1 - 2.9
80 [176].................................0.27 - 0.38

The reference resistance ranges plotted on the chart will give you two parallel lines [one using the lower resistance values at each of the two temperatures, another using the higher resistance values at each of the two temperatures.] If the measured value does not lie close to the parallel lines, replace IAT.
