Just talked to the Service Manager

Well, I just left my dealership and had a talk with the service manager about the bad bushings in the '96 Pathy I bought last week. It was a pleasant conversation, but I could tell he was basically wishing I would just leave. I explained to him how the truck sways, and that I did some research and found out about the bad bushings that many owners have problems with. I told him I crawled under and checked them out, and could see they were not in good shape at all. He then tells me he has done several rear end rebuilds on these and has never heard of this. Then more or less tells me I'm full of shit and everyone on the internet is crazy. Then to top it off, the warranty I purchased doesn't go into effect until 30 days after purchase. So until then, there's nothing I can do about it at all. So here I am, getting ready for a 300 mile round trip with a trailer, and they tell me to come back in 30 days and they'll take a look at it. Well if that isn't good service, I don't know what is.

And then he will tell you that it is normal and that they all do that.

How can a swaying rear end be normal? Can they really tell me nothing is wrong with the truck?

I think you'll find that Nissan dealers are some of the worst out there in terms of service and customer satisfaction. I think they're all floating on a cloud, and think their product is perfect.

The best thing I can tell you, if the fine print on the warranty really does exclude the first 30 days, is take it back in another few weeks.

In reply to...Can they really tell me nothing is wrong with the truck?

That was the stock answer with my last truck, a GMC Jimmy. Yeah, I know it was a :dumbass: idea to buy one. That's why I bought something made in Japan.

I may be clueless but I've never heard of a service warranty starting 30 days after purchase. I've heard of it ending 30 days after. I think I see a red flag here.
