04 Frontier Lean... torsion bar adjustment?

OK Iv done plenty of searching(So dont flame me please). But to no end I didnt find a definet answer on any how too's.

My truck leans to the passenger front about an inch. and the truck always looks lopsided. From what I have read I need to adjust the "torsion bars". Im new to trucks... any one got pics so I can actually see what a torsion bar is.

And does anyone have any pictures of or how too's on how to adjust them on the 01-04 frontiers? I found plaenty for the 95 and such. But when I got under my truck to night to see if those earlier write ups would help, nothing made sense to me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Phyro

A torsion bar is simply a "linear" spring. It's mounted between your lower control arm and the frame in the area under your seats. It's a long bar (40-45" long) and about 1" in diameter or so.

Here are some instructions I worked up when I adjusted the torsion bars on my '95 4x4. This should be similar to your '04 Frontier, but there will no doubt be some changes in the design of the adjusters between mine and yours:

aah yes, but does it lean with you in it? Most any truck is a little higher on the driver side to compensate for our fat asses. It probably levels out when you get in it.

I wish that was the solution, I put about 15-17 cinderblocks (Not that many) on me seat to cheak it out, and to no avail itstill leaned

Im gonna use those write ups, those along with being under the truck again I see what I have to to do.

Thank you for all the help. hopefully on saturday when I can get under it to tighten down that bolt, it will solve my problem.

After saturady I will post my findings.
