Need help lowering king cab

I have a '90 2wd king cab that I would like to lower, I know I need blocks for the rear but I'm not sure how to lower the front since I have torsion bars. Do I need new spindels? Any info would be very appriciated Thanks!

The front doesn't cost you anything to lower. You can lower it by turning down the torsion bars. There is a big nut that you turn. Make sure you measure the ride height before you start so you have a reference height. I had used 3" blocks in the back and turned down the torsion bars for a 2 1/2" drop in the front.

The best way would be to use spindles. You can crank the t-bars down, but from what I hear, the ride will be terrible. Anyway, trucks aren't supposed to go down, only up! J/K

Good luck!

i lowered my truck with blocks and turned down the torsion bars til the a-frame was almost touching the rubber bump stop. then i pulled all 4 of the bumpstops out and, voila, a free 2" of suspension. it rides good and corners awesome.

camber

How was the camber after you did the torsion bar adjustments? And is it the nut you turn the one closest to the rear of the truck?
Thanx,

on the inside of your frame rail, even with the center of your door, you'll see a bolt at a 45 degree angle(follow the torsion bar towards the back). crank it down as far as you wanna. as far as the camber, i'm not real sure how bad it was,it looked straight, but i drove it straight to the alignment shop, and told them to make it right. its super easy.

steps?

OK. When i turn down the torsion bar to the height i want it, do i have to take those rubber stops out and if so where are they. And was the alignment the price of a normal alignment or was it more complicated and cost more. Cuz normal alignments around here are anywhere from $40-60.
