Get a REAL lift (a suspension lift). In my opinion, a body lift is only necessary, and beneficial, if you've already lifted your suspension to the max and you have tires that you STILL can't fit under the fenders.

If you're just doing it for looks, I think you'll get more laughs than compliments. Just my experience/opinion.
Tune the thing up and do a basic suspension lift if you're into that. It can get expensive quick, so go slow. Maybe start with a torsion bar adjustment to "adjust" the ride height in the front an inch or two. You won't even need longer shocks for that. Put a shackle kit in the rear or a spring add-a-leaf (might need longer shocks there). Your truck will already easily fit 31" tires as it sits now (assuming everything is up to snuff), so if you really want the bigger tires, you can go up to that size without having to modify anything.
As far as the engine, I'd leave it alone. I doubt anything simple you can do will make an appreciable difference. Maybe a header and exhaust system and a freer flowing intake. But I wouldn't bother with an intake modification until you've opened up the exhaust some.
