Cool Link. Nice Pics, Dyno Graphs, even a little engine history. I am at 100K and have yet to hear any start up rattle from mine. If it gets real cold (-10), the clutch fan will engage on startup making a hell of a roar. But it will only do it for about three seconds. That thing moves alot of air when it kicks in. I flipped the first time I heard it.

Mine kicks in when it gets hot out. If it's above 90*F and I've got the A/C on, I'll hear that fan coming off every stop light, and yes it roars. I like it. It REALLY cools that sucker down too. The gauge will creep to about the 2:30 position, and after that fan kicks in and we get moving again, the gauge falls back to around 3:30 or 4:00.

I've never heard it cold, but then again, it doesn't get that cold here. Coldest morning we've had here in North Carolina this season was about 20*F.

By the way, I'd like to have MORE engines on those graphs, to be able to compare the different engines on the same scale. If ANYONE has a dyno graph (like from a brochure or otherwise), please let me know. I'd like to at least include the Z24i engine and the truck KA24DE engine. Need info from 1000 rpm all the way up to make a decent comparison. I digitized those graphs from my '95 brochure.

Thanks,

Yes! Good site, good info. As far as the rattle. I've had that only for the past couple of years. Found out this week ,mine was a bent power steering/power steering assist, pully. I'm having it replaced as I speak. I guess it got bent when I hit a deer a couple of years ago.
