Yes...there are pix I got from a lady in S Calif...don't remember the thread, but if you start searching from about 6 months ago you might find her thread...

Basically, all she did was go to Auto Zone and buy for about $12.00 a "cone shaped" air filter that looks like the K&N filter...Took the air mixing box off that sits right next to the fender...

The plastic tube that swings around in and goes into the air mixing box, that happens to be the same diameter as the input to the cone filter...so she clamped it on...then she drilled a small hole right next to where she clapmed the filter on and stuck the air sensor in there and splotched a little silicone around it to hold it in place...

This was on a 2000 Fronty, so on your hardbody it may not be exactly the same...

She said she spend less than $20 to do this and says it works fine...

I don;t know...but she had some pix of the install and it looked ok...

Yeah -- and remember that the factory air box setup is designed to draw as much outside air as possible and still separate water from air. If you have a cone filter, hope and pray you don't hit a big puddle on a wet street one night, because hydrolocking the engine is a possibility. The stock setup works and it works well.

Guess I won't be doing the cone idea!
I was also thinking about trying something similar.
Glad now that I haven't!
Thanks fellas.
