The only company that I know of that makes an intake for the hardbody trucks is FBI. You might also try AC at www.4x4parts.com. I am not sure if they sell thier own or are a distributor of the FBI intakes.

A 97 model truck is still a Hardbody, Frontiers weren't released until the 98 model year. Anyway, it makes no difference, since you definately have a 4 cylinder engine. The only place that sells an intake for the 4 cylinder trucks is FBI (www.minitruckn.com). 4x4parts.com only sells the intakes for the 6 cylinder models. I have the FBI intake on my 94 Hardbody and will say that I am happy with its performance. You do lose a little grunt off the line, but this is more than made up for when the tach hits about 3,000 rpm. Plus, it looks really good when you open the hood.
