tire Sizes...

I am thinking about getting some 18" wheels for "trooper" (my truck's new name) and I've been looking at tires and I can get some nice fat 275/65HR18 Michelin Pilot LTX's for it for 90 bucks a pop. Those Pilots are very highly rated on the tire rack but they are roughly 3" bigger in diameter than the Generals on mine (255/65R16 and look weak by the way)! besides getting the speedometer re-adjusted to the bigger size, do you think those tires would fit okay.. I know they would sure fill out those wheel wells nicely and they would raise my truck another inch off the ground. What do you guys think

It will depend on the offset of the rim. Most aftermarket rims have zero offset, so they will stick out some. When going that big, you may have some rubbing issues.

I have 265/70R17 BFG ATs on my truck and had some rubbing that was taken care if with a dremel.

More can be found in the link in my sig.

is yours lifted? those are pathfinder LE wheels aren't they? I'm actually entertaining the idea of putting Titan 18's on mine... they are the same bolt pattern! if the offset # is a higher number does that mean the wheels stick out farther or in?
