Well back from colorado!!!
Well me and a friend drove up to Northern Colorado last week and just got home today. We did a little skiing and snowmobiling... man was that fun. I have to say my little "trooper" (that is the new name of my truck after everything I just put it through) really did well in the snow in the 2WD... The cabin we stayed at was 20 miles up the mountain on a dirt road covered with snow and I didn't have to use chains untill the last mile of extremely steep terrain! Man this truck rocks and seems to plow through anything I point it into. It also averaged 20.7 mpg throughout the entire trip!
I do have one question though... there was one hill that I tried to make it up w/o the chains, and did, but the rear of the truck was whining really loud as the limited slip was struggling with the icy stuff for about 200 feet. Is that normal? the truck is obviously under warranty and I haven't had any trouble since then but I'm worried it may have prematurely burned the LSD fluid... and maybe I should have it looked at just to be safe? Other than that "Trooper" is running strong!! he now has 13,000 miles on him (in just 5 months!)
later,
