My 2001 Pathfinder SE (manual transmission) has a weird engine vibration rattle. Here are the observations I have made:
- the rattle only occurs between 2500 - 3000 RPM
- only occurs when in gear
- does not happen in extreme cold (like last week - 5 degrees out here in Colorado)
- usually worse in warmer conditions
- not always there (sometimes it "goes away" - sometimes not there at all)
- seems to happen only after engine is warmed up
- seems to be coming from right front of engine compartment
- can't tell if it is something inside the engine or outside (seems like could be either)
I have looked all over/around the engine and I do not see anything loose/not tight. Anyone have any troubleshooting ideas? Anyone ever seen this one before on the Pathfinder?
