Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to this website and this is actually my 1st post. I've been searching around the web looking for a Quest minivan board but to no avail. This site seems to be the most decent and common to nissan owners.
I'm just wondering how many '04 Quest owners are in here. I just bought a '04 Quest about a week ago for wifee and we just love this thing from the bottom up. We ended up with the model "S" as I couldn't pass up the deal which already came with DVD system, 3rd row fold down seats and such. Got all the options except for the alloy stock rims. I'm not too worried about the hubcap rims at this moment because I will be replacing it with aftermarket wheels sometime in the future.
The only gripe I have about the minivan is that there's an intermittent noise at the back... possibly the hatch. It make this creek/rattle noise as it's almost like a noise of body flex. This mostly happens when pulling from a stop, hitting a small bump or a pot hole. Highway speeds are okay. It's already been at the dealership where I bought it from for them to check the noise, stayed there for 2 days and the problem still exist. It gets pretty annoying and I really want to get this fix since it's still new. I'm thinking of dropping it off to another nissan dealership and see if they will be able to fix the issue.
Does any of you Quest owners experience the same thing?
The rattling noises happen to my car to0. The dealer told me that they haven't come up with a perfect solution to fix it. They said the more they fix it, the worse the noise get. This noise is certainly a defect. If it is not fixed after 3 attempt, i will try to get my money refunded in according to the Lemon Law.
I have some more problem with this car. Read this post:
Well, after picking up the minivan last week from the dealership to get the noise check, what it said on the service invoice that they found the noise and was traced to a seat striker from the back. They re-adjusted the striker and apparently that pretty much solved the issue. I no longer hear the rattles so I'm quite happy for now. We'll see how long this lasts!!

I've had my '04 Quest SL for 2 weeks and today the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Also there was a very noisy wind coming from the driver's side area today driving on the highway.
I also have rattling/ clicking noises from the Drivers side door/slider area
Bob... looks like you got something major going on your Quest. I've owned the van almost the same time as you, about 2 weeks or so of ownership. Something may have triggered the Service Engine light to lit up. Can it be your gas cap may have gotten loose? If it's not, I'd take it back to the dealership asap and have them diagnose. They should be able to pull the code that the ecu may have stored. Let us know what you found.
Btw... how bad is the wind noise that your hearing. I can hear it on my drivers side but it's not loud.

Hi,
I made a service appointment for this Tuesday to take a look at the rattling issues and will tell them about the Service engine light also.
The wind noise seemed much more noticible today (maybe because it is very cold and windy) but it bothers me.
So far besides these issues, I am lovin; this minivan!
