Replacement brakes for a Pathfinder

I have been looking for new brake rotors for my 1996 Pathfinder XE 4x4. My left front rotor is scored so deeply that if I turn it I will be near to or may be even just past Nissan’s minimum thickness. Does anyone have any recommendations for new rotors? The best online deal that I have found is for Brembo rotors from tirerack at $69 USD each.

That's not a bad price for a quality rotor. Are they cross-drilled or slotted? I have a set of cross-drilled rotors on my Cadillac and they're great. Much more than a cosmetic difference. I bought them because I was warping standard rotors every 20k miles and I've had these for close to 35k now and no warping. You can see a picture of them here:

There's also a link there to a road test an off-road magazine did with these rotors on a Trooper and they liked them. If those Brembos are drilled, that's a great price and I'd jump on it. If they're not drilled, I'd consider looking for a pair of drilled rotors for your truck. The outfit I bought mine from (at $120 ea) used OEM cores and drilled and radiused (not chamfered) them on a CNC machine, then gold cadmium coated them for durability. Indeed, there's not a shade of rust on mine, even after so long. Be sure to visit the link from the off-road magazine -- they've got lots of information there about the rotors.

That price is for plain vented rotors. Tirerack also offers a slotted and vented rotor by Power Performance Group, Inc. for $100 USD each. I haven’t seen an offering by anyone for a cross-drilled rotor. Not surprisingly though, the slotted rotor is marketed as more stable than a cross-drilled rotor. Much like my company markets our product as better than the competition's for similar biased reasons.

I am not certain that I want a performance rotor. I’ve had good luck with my factory originals and I tow a ski boat a lot in the summer.

My pathfinder needs a little braking help. the thing just seems to take for ever to stop.

I am too looking to upgrade the OEM rotors and pads with Slotted and/or cross drilled rotors and either low dust semi-metalic pads or ceramic pads, if I can find them. Any leads will be helpful.
