Question Can not get it up

I have a 1997 PU. When I first got the Truck the hood was hard to open. I went to check the oil, pulled the hood release, "no release." Does any one how to pop the hood?

Have someone tap the hood above the hood release while someone is pulling the release in the cab. If your by yourself you can try slapping the hood as far forward as you can reach while pulling the release.

That worked. Thanks, the orginal owner set the hood stops to low. That is what caused the hood to lock.
