I did a head gasket on my 85,had problem getting the chain/gear back on.No matter how I pried,begged,swore....no go!
Finally I got it close,put the timing gear bolt in and started to
tighten it up.Gear went right on in about 5 minutes!I had spent
about 2 hours screwing with it.
