Question Pathfinder Adjustable shock replacement

Anyone have any experience or suggestions on replacing the OEM adjustable shocks on a 1991 Pathfinder SE with a quality aftermarket shock absorber? My shocks have 135K on them and are starting to feel spongy and sloppy. I priced OEM shocks with Nissan and they are over $200.00 each! I am looking for a reasonably priced, good quality shock with or without adjustability. Any help would be appreciated.
