Unhappy 89 hardbody auto transmission probs.

I HAVE AN 89' HB X-CAB. IT HAS THE 6 W/AUTOMATIC. LATEY I HAVE BEEN BLOWING THE TRANSMISSION FUSE. BEEN STAYING IN SECOND GEAR,TRANNY OIL LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF ALOT AND NOW THE AMP(BATTERY LIGHT ) COMES ON. I AM IN NO WAY A MECHANIC AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CHECK. IF IT IS ELECTRICAL---FINE,BUT,I DON'T WANT TO REBUILD OR REPLACE THE TRANNY. Any help would be greatly appreciated???

sounds to be mostly electrical. I honestly can't narrow it down very far, but I suggest you jus take it to a mechanic who can at least take a look before you really have to pay for any repairs.

BTW, read the orange text below

Even the shifting problem? When I put a load on the truck it is usually fine, but, after is when it does it...I do plan on having it put on a computer this week,I just do not trust most mechanics or the Nissan dealer...
