it seems I will be needing to replace my speakers on my 95, as I just got a new stereo and it really showed me how lame the stock system was. At any rate, what size speakers are on the door panels and in the roof/pillar thing in the cargo area. My guess is 4X6or5X7, anyone know for sure??? TIA
Well, your doors are 6.5's Check jadcocks thread on this topic. As far as the rears go, I have a set of 4X6's for sale, if that is indeed what you need. They are Pioneer TS-G4611 model numbers. They spent 8 months in the dash of a Bonneville, til I traded it.

I think Pathfinders did come with 5x7s. One site I saw said that. I don't know that any of them are totally correct (the sites showing the supposed factory speaker sizes). They all say the Hardbodies came with 6.5" speakers in the door, but mine did not. The word here is that 6.5"s will fit with no problems, and that's what I'm going to install, but it's still inaccurate for those sites to list that as the stock size for all Hardbodies. Maybe the models with 2 speakers had 6.5" door speakers and the models with 4 speakers had 4" speakers in front and 6.5" ones in the back, who knows?
To be sure, I would remove the speaker grilles on your actual vehicle to see what you have. You may have stock size ones in there (which may be 5x7s), or someone before you may have installed an aftermarket speaker with an adapter, who knows. I'd pop the grilles off and see what you've got to start with. Measure the mounts and speaker dimensions and match up to an aftermarket size for replacement.
i have a 94 and i have 6X8 plates in mine all the way around. the consist of a 1 1/2 tweeter and a 4 mid. a 6x9 should fit providing that the depth of the speaker is shallow enough. but a good audio store should eb able to tell you for sure what will fit.

if the front seems to have all the bass you more then likely have a 6X9. these usually have a fair amount of bass to them. and im pretty sure that they fit easily in the front door.
