Thursday, i watched a 90's model nissan 4x4 kingcab get t-boned by a crappy old ltd. The ltd ran a light and upon impact, the nissan went airborn and landed on the drivers door. We had to pull the driver from the sun roof, but he was not injured hardly at all as opposed to the driver of the car... There was very little intrusion on the truck and the car was demolished. As an EMT and firefighter I have seen many accidents and this was a fairly significant one. The car was traveling at about 50-55 when it hit the truck who was just making a turn. All in all I was proud to say I own a nissan truck!
Cool...glad to hear the driver sustained few injuries. It sounds like the truck was t-boned on the passenger side then -- and knocked over onto the driver side? I'm glad the Nissans have a full boxed frame. I'm sure a C-section frame might not have faired as well. The downside is our trucks weigh a good 500 lbs. more than the next guy... I'm still glad I have a Nissan.
That's good to hear... I see lots of the hardbody trucks in the junk yards around here, and they don't seem to fare well... but I never paid much attention to other brands. Glad to see everything worked out this time!
