Hey guys and gals,
Just a quick update. My lil brother gave me his SER. I'm in the process of hooking everything back(replacement JDM SR20). I went with the JDM intake. So I've got some vacuum and wiring routeing to do. MY truck is still on blocks. I had the flywheel lightened by
www.racetep.com in california. $19 to ship it $178 shipped back. They took off between 5-10lbs(haven't weighed yet). I have the 59% over stock exedy clutch. I went with it because its a diakim product(oem nissan). Its 1.25lbs heavier than stock, that was somewhat dissappointing. I cancelled my order for the thorley header. I may still do this. I couldn't get a straight answer. I would like to know what to do to make it fit before I spend $250. The engine was rebuilt in corinth, MS by a very trustworthy machine shop. Total for everything was $1130. Wich includes new motorsports 9.5 to 1 pistons and oem rings. I had everything balanced except the crank. The crank didn't need anything. I needed some new parts on the head. I overevved it pretty good. It needed 4 new exhaust vavles and some other pieces retainers etc. I also got new head bolts( I would probably take a chance on the old ones if I did it again. They were much higher quality than the topline bolts.) I have new maxima leather seats. Black with 6 or 8 way power driver and basic power for the passenger. I also purchased some charcoal vinyl for the doors, black vinyl paint for the plastics. I buit a console. I found a 240sx shifter at a junker but the pivot point is much shorter than my truck. I'll have to fab some brackets for the seats. I'll keep everyone posted.
