Gas gauge?'s

hey guys, any of you had problems with your gas gauge in your nissan trucks, mine will show to still contain 1/4 tank when in fact it is really empty, not sure when the problem started as i usually keep the tank over half full, the truck is a 99 frontier with a 2.4l 5 speed and has about 50k on odo. any help will be appreciated. thanx

Dragula to search the board over at www.4x4parts.com as someone already had posted that problem before. I think it's a blown relay on the terminal box behind the dashboard layout. It's costs around 20 bucks to fix.

Sounds like you have a problem with fuel sender unit. It is located in the tank and the bed must be lifted to access. We have seen several trucks with this problem.

Not sure if nissan has done anything formal about it.
