Exclamation 02 Frontier 2.4L <-- IN NEED OF HELP

I have been searching for intake and exhaust systems for my 02 frontier 2.4L. I haven't found anything that fits the 4 cylinder frontier. The truck is really lagging even with the help of a 5 speed transmission. I am wondering if anyone knows of any mods for this year of truck or can any mods from previous generations be used on this engine. Thanks.

Welcome..

I assume the engine is pure stock with good plugs and low miles.

Your best bet for more power is a New Air intake system.

Check out www.4x4parts.com They speciaize in Nissan vehicles.. try calling or emailing them. there is also a discussion board. Theres probaly some in development somewhere. Start with a K&N drop in...

Is your truck 2wd or 4wd King Cab or regular?

Not much out there

I've been looking for Frontier toys with mixed success.

There's some 4 wheel stuff over at http://www.purenissan.com/performance1.htm

I have a hard time looking at 2.25" as high flow exhaust. I agree that it lags off the line, but there's fun to be had when you wind it up above 3500.

Intake for 2.4L

I too have the underpowered 2.4L I dropped in a K&N filter last year. I definitely noticed a little boost in power but nothing drastic. I think Godfather Customs sells short intakes for it and also a real cold air intake. I think its about $250-$300. I imagine some modification needs to be made to put it in. Also look into an exhaust for your truck they are cheaper than the intakes.
