I have a 95' hardbody nissan pick up truck and the stock tiers and wheels that are on it are small. i would like to get bigger wheels and tiers. i all ready know what tiers i want. but don't know what wheels will fit it. and what r some good wheels that r cheap in price. thanks
Totally depends on what you want. There are some good looking OEMs from other Nissan models that look good. Wagon wheels are cheap (black, white, and chrome). I wanted something that would look good, handle, and still use a fairly cheap tire size. I settled on a set of Z Racing Type 88s off of Ebay for 150 dollars/set. 15x9's I mounted 235-60-15 Firestone Firehawk SS20's at $61 each from tirerack.com. Going from a 14x5 in wheel and a 195-75-14 to a 15X9 and a 235-60-15 is a major improvement.

Tire size 235 mm treadwidth and 60 percent sidewall (235x.6) 15 is the wheel diameter. So I went from a 7.0 inch wide and 25.5 inch tall tire to a 9.7 wide and 26.1 tall. Basically it's a half an inch taller and 2.5+ inch wider. This reduces sidewall deflection, increases grip, and reduces understeer. Understeer is when you push your truck to the limit in a curve and the front end washes out and pushes straight ahead.

Hey, me too! I think that's a good size (for the 4x4s). If I ever have to buy another set of tires for this truck, I think I'm going to try to find some 255/70/15s or something -- that'll be close to 30" tall, but it'll be about 10" wide vs. 9.5". I'd like to have a 30x10.50x15, but they just don't make that size (that I could find).
Absolutely. 235/75/15 was the stock size. I've seen as large as 31x10.50 on the stock steel wheels, but I don't know if I'd go that large...maybe. 30x9.50 fits real nice, and it's about an inch taller and a half inch wider.
What's the "off road" package you refer to in your signature? I keep meaning to ask you what that meant. I looked through the '95 brochure and don't see that listed as a package. I also have a '95, so I'm curious.
I went from whatever was stock on my '93 4x4 up to 31x10.50's without changing rims. If I crank the wheel all the way, they'll rub a little, but that's been the only problem I've had. I've lived with my speedo being off 5-10%, which I think can be fixed by a new gear on the speed sensor, but I don't care that much.
im guessing i can't put a taller all tearin tire on a 14x5 rim? cuz i whent to see how much i would cost me to put 4 all tearin tires on my truck, but it was only a sertin brand i was looking at. what kinds will fit?
A 14x5 rim is awfully small. I'd say the biggest tire you would want to reasonably put on there would be a 215/75 or something like that...maybe 225/75 at the absolute largest. I had 14x6 wheels on a car once and had 225/70s on them and that was a good size. Yours are an inch narrower than that. The biggest (widest) tires you could get from the factory on the 5" rims appear to be 195/75s -- on the long-bed HD model. The 14x6" rims had the option of 215/75s. I wouldn't go much larger than that -- especially on rims an inch narrower.
The obvious solution to a narrow tire size selection here, pardon the pun, is to go with some aftermarket wheels...preferably 15x6 or 15x7. The stock 4x4 wheel is 15x6 and that will accept a wide variety of tire sizes.
