waterpump problems

I got a 93 SE pickup 4wd and replacing the waterpump, anyway to make long story short. I got everything off except the pump it is loose but can't get past timing belt. Read chiltons and it say's nothing about having to take off belt. I got everything already but the kitchen sink off, and hate to mess with belt. can anyone help me??

water pump

If you are replacing the pump, it would be smart to replace the timing belt too.
