'03 Pathfinder LE power antenna help

I have a new '03 Pathfinder LE and, as all of you may have noticed, it doesn't come with an electric antenna. In the last few days I have seen a couple of Pathfinders with it. I don't know if it is original or aftermarket or if it came came from a QX4 and really don't care; just want to get one. The only problem here is that I have seen the mast in some places but can't find the electric motor. My guess is that there has to be a place where they sell it as a replacement for the Pathfinders that had that option in the past or for the QX4's. If someone knows where can I get the set, please, don't forget to tell me.

I am not afraid of how much work it takes to install the set. As a matter of fact, being a DIY kind of person, I am looking forward to do it. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You probably want to check and see if the harness is already there to control it. If so it could be an easy install... You really need to have a copy of the service manual on hand ($20 one day subscription to download at www.nissan-techinfo.com)

Heath: Thanks for your reply. Since the car didn't came with the power antenna from factory, I don't think it has the harness. However, since there are some Pathfinders that have the set, I am pretty sure there has to be a place where I can get both the antenna and the harness. The big problem is that I don't know where.

I'd call Joe at Infiniti of Scottsdale. They sell both Nissan and Infiniti parts at wholesale, and Joe is very helpful. I looked around town for special lugnuts for my aftermarket OZ Q wheels (lost 5) for four hours last week. Couldn't find them anywhere! Called Joe and he hooked me up free!

Anyway give him a call at 1-888-216-5328. He can look in the parts catalog and see what's required. If that connector is part of another harness, it may be pre-wired in all of the Pathfinders... just depends on if Nissan thought it was cheaper to design two harnesses or just use one for everything.

You were right. I called Joe and the only thing I can say about him is that he is great. What a customer oriented guy!!! Wow!!! I am like this because I am so used to deal with crappy customer service reps that I am just amazed. Thanks for the tip. I'll be buying the parts from him as soon as I make sure they fit on my car.

Best regards,

Paco

Paco,

Glad that it helped! Joe is top notch... you'll like working with him.

In case anyone else is wondering, I don't get paid for promoting Joe (although you might think otherwise seeing some of my posts!)

Even if you are getting paid, I really don't care. You helped me a lot so, if you are remunerated, you deserve it. Again, thanks for your help. If someone ask me, I'll also recommend that person to call Joe.

Have a good day,

Paco
