Question NAPS-Z 2.2litre engine ???

Hi can anyone tell me what vehicles does this engine come from ??? I've installed a Nissan Naps-Z 2.2 litre engine and a 5 foward gear box into my car and I was wondering what nissan vehicle they came from. I want to think it came from a Pickup or something like that because its a very rugged engine and it has loads of power. And can anyone point me to a supplier that I can get after market parts for it, Racing parts that is.......like cams, lightweight flyweels, copper clutch etc..........thanks anyone

If memory serves, it is a derivitive of the L series engines. It was used in trucks and rear wheel drive passenger cars such as the 200sx,For parts, try Nismo, Nissan's motorsports division.

My first Nissan truck was the 720 (1984 K/C 5 speed with the 4 cylinder Napz (2 plugs per cylinder) what a great engine. It was not the fastest engine Nissan made by a long shot, but it had a lot of muscle for hauling. Again, mine was very dependable. After I sold it in 1995 it ran great. Now I have a 1995 Hardbody V6 again no complaints.

My very first car was a 1982 200SX hatchback with a Z22E dual-plug NAPS-Z engine. It had over 225K on it when I sold it.

I had an 86 hardbody with a NAPZ and dual spark plugs. It made gobs of torque. That engine made far more power than my 95 KA24E does, at least seems like.
