i need help, just recently my '95 nissan pick up turn signals are now hazard lights. when i use left or right turn signal both sides flash at same time, no matter if headlights are on or off. even if i brake, my turn signals flashes both signals at same time just like hazard lights. i try just the hazard button and it works like it should-both sides flash. but i need turn signals when turning not hazard lights.

Check your relays...one of them is probably blown out!

Hmm...I'm really not sure where they are in the trucks.
You know whats probably worth it...
If you buy a Chiltons manual from your local auto shop.
For my 95 Sentra it cost me around 10 bucks and was probably the most important and best worthwhile investment for it!!!!
On e-bay search for Chilton Nissan and buy that book for your respected year....click here.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search...Chilton+nissan

IT IS WELL WORTH THE COST MAN!!!
In the book it shows your everything you need to know about your car...even torquing specifications for almost every single screw on that thing!!! It'll also show you were relays are and stuff on the truck

Welll...for my 95 Nissan Sentra...the turn signal relays would be under the hood somewhere. And some other relays are also locarted under the dash, like the horn. They look like little square blue boxes...and are located right above the fueses

Just ran out to check my '95, the hazard lamp is on the driver's side right above the hood release, should be a little recessed handle, pull and the cover will pop off. There's a diagram thing on the back of the cover. Hope this helps,

David

You can also get a one days subscription for the factory manual at www.nissan-techinfo.com. Cost is $20. I understand that the manual can be downloaded in .pdf format, so you could burn it to a CD ROM and keep it on your hard drive. Print out what you need, and then throw away the greasy copies when you're done... sounds great to me!

any other ideas?

UNISH, i located 4 blue toped relays under the dash, pulled everyone out, 1 at a time to find the right relay goin to the turn signals, and non of the 4 were the right ones. i can hear a relay clicking somewhere under the dash in the area of the fuse panel but unable to pin point it yet.

if u have any other ideas please let me know. i'm gunna do more investigating tomorrow. i'll keep in touch.

thanks

problem resolved

found the problem i was having with my turn signals, started at rear of truck under the truck bed, disconnected main harness from the rear lighting harness (tail lights, reverse, signals). with the main harness disconnected from the rear, signals were operating normally, altho blinking a lot faster than usual, but only because of less load of bulbs, since rear lighting was disconnected. problem ended being fuaulty trialer lighting wiring.

thanks to those who gave me suggestions.

Faulty wiring?????
Did you have work done on your car recently, with wiring involved in it?

How did the faulty wiring happen?
