Well, I went to change the PCV value today and realize that just about every molded hose around the intake has a crack on one of its ends. Well, I know each one cost about $20 at the dealership - so I dont want to go that route. Does anyone now of any place cheaper or have any suggestions on what to do? One of the auto parts stores I go to said the dealer would be the only place I don't think I'll have any short term problems - but it'd be nice to have some new hoses
Thanks

I think you'll want to take each on a case-by-case basis. If the hose's path is pretty simple, you can easily replace it with a universal (straight hose) and bend it to shape. If it's a rather long hose, you may be able to route a universal hose the same way, and tie it to a few places with cable ties. If it's an intricate bend in a tight place, though, the dealer may be the only route -- if they still stock it or can order it. I bet many of them are discontinued, unfortunately.
Next time I change my oil, I'm going to tackle the PCV valve (right next to the filter, behind the alternator on my KA24E truck) and I'm sure I'll have to replace a few lengths of hose down there with some new rubber (just like you're having to do).
Thanks for the advice - I'll probably have to try that with a few. However, Nissan thought it would be funny to put in a couple hoses with different size ends They really want to get that $20 out of my wallet
If you decide to go the factory route - you might try calling Joe at Infiniti of Scottsdale. He sells Nissan parts too - great guy and you'll get about 25-30% off! 1-888-216-5328.

Just tell him I said to call... they're more than happy to take as much internet discount business as they can handle! I told him about this forum, so he may stop by from time to time - he's fairly active over on NICO. He's getting ready to launch a Nissan parts site too, they've had www.infinitipartsusa.com for a couple of years.
Joe knows me by name - especially since last week. I've been doing some work on my truck and everytime I find something else that needs to be replaced, I call him... I think he's going to put call blocking on me after he counts up all of the 1-800 bills for me to have him look up a $1 screw or gasket!
