Question Stumbling on acceleration

I have a 95' 2.4L pickup that stumbles when I'm climbing hills. I recently had the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires and fuel filter replaced. The problem was corrected somewhat, but now exists only when I accelerating on a hill.

Using high octane fuel seems to help a little.

Also, it has a tendency to surge somewhat when I come to a stop.

Any help is highly appreciated!

LuckyTruck,

See my reply under the Pathfinder acceleration problem post. Sounds like you have a loose timing chain.

Jadcock,
I'll have a look at the timing chain.

Dwntyme,

What about the wiring harness problem under the hood? I went to the other forum and did a search under "wiring harness", but couldn't find anything. When I searched under "hesitation", I got a lot of different things that made my head spin.

One things for certain, Nissan's seem to have a problem with hesitation on acceleration under all kinds of circumstances.

Thanks for the help and I'll let you know if it's the timing chain.
