1997 Pathfinder check engine light

I have a 1997 pathfinder xe with the check engine light on.
The obd code readout was P0446 ( evap canister vent control valve circuit ). The truck is running fine no problems. I believe if
a real problem existed, I would notice some kind of rough idle or
something. I noticed a TSB out on this 00-060 and 00-085.
Any help on checking the evap system and isolating this problem would be appreciated.

With that code... you may not see a drivability problem. However, you will most likely not be able to pass any emission testing if applicable. The problem could be something as simple as the gas cap vent or evap (purge) solenoid. You might want to get it repaired for the simple reason that if you leave the check engine light on... you won't know when there is a more serious failure.
