RB26Dett - Need I say more?

OKay, I have heard that the rb26dett will not fit in a Nissan Pickup. But it will fit in a 240sx that has the same motor and possibly tranny. Is length the only reason? Do the turbos interfere with the steering shaft? Does anyone have a pic of a successfil conversion? The KA is running fine, but DAMN that would be sweet. What rearend would you use? I doubt my HF35 would hold that power. Any ideas? Aaron

Actually, the RB26DETT only fits into the 240SX if you convert it to a single turbo, or complete pioneer a new twin turbo manifold. You called it with the steering shaft.

You could get it to fit the HB but you would have move your tanny tunnel back about 6-8" use the rearend out of a 300Z...It will take alot of hard work and a good slide rule. but it will work.

You can do anything with a cutting torch and welder..

What about moving te radiator to the front side of the core support? Using electric fans? And what the hell is the hump on the right hand side of this 6 speed tranny? Aaron

Could it be the transfer case output for an all wheel drive skyline? I bet that is what it is.

I have redirected a streering shaft before. It was a 50 GMC going to a 327 with headers. A group out of Ca builds pillow blocks and u joints just for this. So that is not that much of a concern. I know the weight is within 3 lbs between the KA and the RB (391 and 394) so what elso could go wrong? Drivesahft splines, maybe? I have a shop that can build and balance but I have to supply the parts. Throttle linkage? Clutch hydraulics? It looks like the hump for the all wheel drive will cause a clearance issue with my torsion bars.... Any ideas?
