Question Replacing plugs with zerks

I need to perform a front end lube on my 97 XE 2WD. Anybody know what size and how many zerks I need to order?

Send a message via AIM to himilefrontier
I'd just buy an assortment of them at the oarts store in metric and see what works

Replacing plugs with zerks

Thanks for the reply. My first solution was to do just that. However, the only thing the auto parts stores carry here in the DC area are chain license plate frames and neon lights, so I have to resort to online shopping. Due to the time involved I want to order the right kind from the outset. Guess I'm going to have to crawl under there and actually measure one.

Probably 6, 7, or 8mm...
Take one off and bring it to the auto store.

I think it is 8mm by 28 tpi. When in doubt, bring one to the parts store.

Thanks for the replies folks. I wish there WAS a parts store around here that carried grease fittings, but as stated previously, there aren't. Even the Nissan dealership was no help! Anyway, I will be driving to West Virginia this weekend, where they actually carry auto parts in the auto parts stores, and will pick some up there. Regards,
Warren

I have the same truck and can find places for only 4 Zerks, all in the upper and lower ball joints. Are there supposed to be any Zerks for the tie rod ends, Pittman arm, idler arm, or center link?
I cleaned everything thoroughly and looked hard but couldn't find any screw-in or press-in covers for the holes.
