Talking **Need some education**

Hey what's up this is my first post here.

I just bought a 87 Nissan Pickup about two months ago. It's a four cylinder regular cab. I've got some dumb questions so bare w/ me.

First off, does anyone know the specs to these. It says Z24 electroinjection in the engine bay.

Second. When I buy a distributor cap for this truck, will it come w/ screws. The current cap is clamped on.

Last. Does anyone know where I can get some wider rims. Nothing fancy, just want to put a little bit bigger tires on there. They feel like bike tires.

Thanks for the help.

The engine is a Z24 (eight spark plug) throttle body injected engine. Not sure about the cap. Wheels can be got for cheap off of eBay. You are looking for a 6 on 6.5 pattern. Other trucks use this pattern: some chevys , Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi. Stay with aftermarket on these cause the oems may not swap so easily. If your gonna go OEM, stay with Nissan, but no late 70's/early 80's. The center hole is too small. As far as tires, 235/60/15s fit my 95 2WD fairly well. I have heard that 31X10.50s will fit under the 4X4 without rubbing too bad. Aaron

An interesting fact about this engine is that it is derived from the old L series engine that first saw use in the 1968 510 and pickup. So, some parts may interchange from these vehicles.

I have the Nissan chrome 15 X 6.5 rims on my 1987 pathfinder and I put a set of swampers 34 X 10.50 X 15LT and it did not hit any of the fender wells. I did put a 3 inch body lift on it. It will rub on the inside of the frame if I turn the wheels all the way to the right or left.
