I began to look into the viability of replacing my 2WD brake components for 4WD. I sorta lost interest when the rotors did not bolt up the same. I need larger rotors due to the increase in tire height/weight. It seems that the only downside to putting 235/60/15s with 15x9 wheels is the loss in initial bite by the brakes. I can stop quicker with the additional traction but it takes more pedal effort to accomplish this. Anyone else contemplated this? Aaron

Well, the Pathfinders used a rear disc I think (at least some of them did). Seems the componentry should be out there then for doing a rear disc conversion. I don't know what to tell ya about doing a 2wd-to-4wd front brake conversion -- the whole suspension's different obviously. I doubt anything would bolt up the same. The 4x4s do have dual piston calipers, that's kinda cool. If I ever thought I'd own a vehicle with dual piston calipers, I didn't figure it would be a Nissan truck!

Would a 2WD Pathy have a larger rotor/caliper than my 2WD PU?
