Question High Speed Engine Noise

The other day coming home from work in my 1994 Pathfinder in which I just dropped a rebuilt 3.0 liter I heard a very faint clicking type sound when driving around 80 mph. When I got off the highway the noise was gone. This morning I heard it again and again at idle or below 75 it was gone and then on the way home nothing! The engine has good power and compression and listening to it in my driveway it was very quiet.I checked my exaust system and noticed a nice little rip in the pipe.Could the sound be coming from an exaust leak?Im baffled.Any feedback is most welcome.

Where do you think the clicking is coming from? Front of the engine? rear of engine? From my experience, intermittent clicking that comes from the front of the engine is usually a frayed/worn belt, or worn pulley bearing. I hope this helps - Thanks
