Towing boats with Pathfinder

I have a 2000 Pathfinder 2WD and am looking to pull a boat with it. What is the heaviest I should try to pull with my Pathfinder? I want to make sure I can get it out of the water and up the boat ramp. I also want to want to avoid killing the engine/transmission hauling it to the lake. I have a transmission cooler but do live in Texas so it gets hot here. Thanks

Pickle

it is best not to exceed tongue weight for not only will the engine/trans suffer..........so will your brakes. go with the owner's manual recommendations.
