Thumbs up New engine in and Running!

Just finished today and the results were fantastic. The Pathfinder runs great and the truck is very quiet. The old V6 had a manifold noise that was a pain in the ass.I think I will not look at making a new vehicle purchase the same way again.I am a working man and even though this project cost me 2400$ I have once again avoided the monthly payment fiasco that everyone seems to have.I kinda like my old Pathfinder anyway and now I can look forward to another 100,000 miles. Now my 94 pickup is making a creaking sound when I step on the clutch.........another project but thats okay with me!If you got the cash more power to ya but I dont so Ill live with my old warhorses!

Thrasher, May I compliment you on both the repair job and your overall wisdom. I started with my truck. I financed it but finally paid it off. When it is paid off, I can invest in some maintenance to bring it to as close to new as possible, then keep throwing money in the bank. I ended up bieng able to buy outright my max, then piece by piece I am accumulating a muscle mustang. All paid for. I just pay a small amount for maintenance (which I do) and insurance and tabs. Yeah, my vehicles may be older than alot of other peoples, but they are paid for AND run like new if not better. Congrats again Thrasher.

Try a little white lithium grease on all of the linkage parts and the pedal pivot. That should take care of the squeak!
