97 Pathfinder, airbag light flashing

The airbag warning light started flashing this morning,
I checked the fuse under dashboard, the fuse is fine.
What can cause this and what am I facing to spend?

Thanks.

Find someone with airbag experience(dealer preferably).

It could be the airbags, sensors, modules......

I had the same problem in my 96 truck

Get in the truck
Leave the drivers side door open
turn the key to on
airbag light should iluminate
while it is still lit, press the door ajar button 5 times not to fast( located somewhere in the door sill)(better known as the little thingy that turns the inside light on).

*Then turn the key to off (not for sure if you should wait until light goes off or not)

Then turn it back on should blink 7 times and go off.

mine was like this for 3.5 years. The dealer wanted 600.00 bucks to reset the compu... excuse me replace the computer.

If you pull the Airbag fuse,it won't blink, just stay on steady! That's what I did.I got in an accident with $6500 damage to the front end, airbags didn't deploy but I was uninjured.Call me old fasioned but I don't really think these things do much good when you are wearing a seatbelt anyways-but that's just my opinion!
