how to pour new tranny oil into unit

guys, how the hell did you try to change the tranny oil. The input screw is on the side of the tranny on the 2000 frontier 4x4. How do you put the oil back into it? i tried attempting to use a bottle ,but forget it. Have any of you used a pump of some kind to get the new fluid back into the case? there is no way to get fluid in there without a pump. I guess the old nissan dealer would be able to do it, but its redicuous, the frame is in the way and the exaust pipes and all.

Thanks Chris

Yeah, it is simple.

Ya know those funky pointy bottles of 80w 90 fluid. Well, buy one of those bottles and take the cap off, also a pointy thing. Cut JUST THE TIP off the pointy cap. Put one end of about 2 feet of vacuum hose on the cap. It just so happens that that cap fits nicley on a bottle of ATF or engine oil. Put the 'cap/hose combo' on the fluid bottle for the tranny. Put the free end of the vacuum hose in the fill hole, turn bottle upside down and squeeze. Voila! Fluid is now in the tranny. If you are really slick and have an air compressor, poke a hole in the bottom of the fluid bottle and stick an air gun in the hole and pull the trigger. This makes life MUCH easier. Tip, don't use more than 5 lbs of pressure. Much higher could cause the bottle to over pressurize and cause the cap to blow off, exploding fluid everywhere. But, let's just say that is only a tip and could never of happened, ok?!

Or. Simply drain the transmission, leave the drain plug out. Flip the vehicle over (see above photo of how I do it) and refill the transmission through the drain plug. When full, re-insert the drain plug, and roll vehicle back to shiny side up.!

MUCH easier than using tubes and funnels!

$3.99 pump at the auto parts store. Did not fit the Redline MT-90 bottle but it pumped the fluid. My wrist was a bit sore after, but it worked great.
