Mistral TDi

Hi,
I'm after some help with my grey import 1998 Minstral 2.7 TDi.
Its like a Terrano but the layout seems to be different.

The car has a full 'fly by wire ' accelerator control system which I am having problems with.

The main thing I need to do is increase the engines idle speed which has to be done via the ECU.

A friend knows a tuning group who have been tuning the ECU's on primera's They think they can help if I can locate the ECU and the 'connect' plug for the nissan diagnostic box.

The service manual I have indicates the plug should be on the drivers side of the car but I have not found it.

The manual also indicates the ECU should be mounted under the dash on the transmission tunnel.

Can anyone help please.

Is the Minstral the equivalent of a Terrano II? I have no idea.

Hi 88pathoffroad.

Yeh the Minstral is an equivalent of a Terrano II.
From the outside it looks the same except the bonnet bulge feeds an intercooler.
Some Terrano II parts fit some do not.
The manual I have is for the R20. Some of the mechanicals match up but as for the electrical side of things its hopeless.
