The N/A 300ZX engine(VG30E) was optional in the trucks,so the factory did it!The turbo engine would be more difficult since the turbo is mounted(on the VG30ET)on the driver's side right where the steering shaft goes. The twin turbo engine(VG30DETT) would be REALLY difficult to fit because of the extra width of the DOHC heads, the twin turbos and their piping and the intercoolers. An easier option would be a JDM(Japanese domestic market)RWD SR20DET 4 cyl.The main problem with this engine would be the wiring, and that it came only in the Sylvia(think 240SX)and the pan is front sump while the truck uses a rear sump pan. There are a fwe of these on the net,but unfortunately I don't have a link to share with you.Sorry I can't be more help.

Any good custom shop can do what ever you want if the have the money. Ive seen a viper V10 in a jeep. Why? Cause it could be done but who'd want a 80,000 dollar jeep you can't wheel. A ford big block in a nissan, seen that too, guy was trying to sell it on e-bay about a year ago. Its all about the money. If you got it you can do anything you want.

It would probably be easier if you convert form the stock pitman arm steering and linkage to a rack and pinion setup.I believe that the name of the company that sells the steering shaft compnents is "Borgeson".You will need some universal joints and lengths of shaft for this project. You may want to try the street rod industry,as they typically do wierd engine swaps and need this sort of thing.
