I have an 87 4X4 truck with V6 starts up fine runs maybe 10 to 15 seconds then shuts back off. If anybody has any ideas it will be greatly appreciated!!!
That could be quite a few things. Has it been tuned up? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel and air filters...have you run the ECU error codes?

It has had a tune up and new coil pack. I have done all that but checked ECU codes I don't have any way to check. Plus have no idea where the diag port is on an 87.
I suggest you look at the top of the Pathfinder forum at the pinned post "How To Check Your ECU Error Codes". There's also a link at the top of the Truck/SUV forum section and the Hardbody Truck section.

Checked ECU codes and found code 12 Air Flow Meter/Mass Air Flow Sensor called around no parts store had it. Then I called the dealer and they said on the particular model I have the mass air sensor was built in to the venturi system and that would all have to be replaced for about $1500 in parts. I just wanted to check and make sure they are not messing with me about it.
PartsAmerica.com lists two: one for $149 and one for $164(+ cores, of course).
