2000 XTerra A/C Problem...
Hello all,
I have an annoying problem with my A/C. My a/c compressor clutch intermittently disengages and re-engages. To be precise, I push the A/C button and almost all the time, it never engages. But after a while (usually never the same time) it would engage. From there, it would stay engaged for a while, then disengage. Or at odd times, it would disengage then re-engage a second after.
I have no idea where I should look at the moment. But I've done a few tests before I realized it was an intermittent problem.
First, I jumped the relay switch terminals, and the compressor engaged.
I then checked the relay, and it clicks.
Then I grounded the coil side of the relay, and the compressor engages.
I've had a friend check the pressure, and he says they're okay.
hopefully someone can shed some light on this problem? At this point I'm kind of condemning the A/C switch. Thanks for reading.
